||The Chairmen’s Conversations series was initiated to foster sharing and learning on topics of great interest and impact to boards and directors. The sessions are held every two months or so, focusing on issues relevant to the board or each of the main board committees.
Each Chairmen’s Conversation will be hosted for one of the following categories of chairmen:
a. Board risk committee.
c. Remuneration committee.
d. Audit committee.
e. Nominating committee.
For each Chairmen’s Conversations event, about a dozen chairmen will be invited to discuss a specific topic in a roundtable setting over a meal (breakfast or lunch).
The Chairmen’s Conversations series is hosted by SID in collaboration with a partner organisation.
- Provide a convivial setting for peer chairmen to learn and engage in a relevant topic of interest and value.
- Enable participants to further contribute to the development of board thinking and practices in Singapore.
||A main topic, based on a current hot governance issue, will be the focus for each event. The specific topic will depend upon the group of chairmen and the prevailing issues of interest. The theme is decided by SID in consultation with the partner organisation.
Each event will usually begin with a presentation on the selected topic and a series of discussion points followed by facilitated dialogue amongst the peer chairmen over a meal.
