The course seeks to provide startup founders and directors an understanding of the practical and legal issues that may arise during the course of the startup journey. The roles and responsibilities of the startup board, related to corporate governance, fundraising and best practices in the establishment and growth of the startup, are highlighted.


Course Objectives

  1. Examine the different business structures and the typical composition of startup boards.
  2. Explore each stage of the startup journey and the practical and legal issues that may arise.
  3. Understand the roles and responsibilities of startup founders and directors, including their liabilities and legal obligations.
  4. Highlight the evolution of the board from formation through funding to exit.
