Climate Change on the Board Agenda

As we enter the second half of the year, we shine a spotlight on climate change – which impacts all of us. In Singapore, rising temperatures, flash floods, sea-level rise, pollution, endemic diseases and increased threat to our food security are some of the risks highlighted in the third National Climate Change Study released earlier this year.

As the national Secretariat for Climate Governance Singapore (CGS) – the local chapter of the global Climate Governance Initiative – SID has lined up a host of events and activities focused on raising awareness about the impact of climate change and steps we can take to embed this on the board agenda.

This year’s Singapore Governance and Transparency Forum on 1 August will also shine a spotlight on Navigating Sustainable Governance. A key benchmarking index on governance and disclosures, the Singapore Governance and Transparency Index 2024 will reveal the top-ranked listed companies.
