Course Description The course presents the key financial governance challenges facing a charity and examines the statutory and voluntary financial governance requirements for charities. It covers the roles and responsibilities of directors of charity organisations with respect to financial management. 
Course Objectives

  2. Understand the statutory and fiduciary requirements of directors, with regards to financial management.
  3. Learn about financial governance matters and the financial reporting framework.
  4. Differentiate between the Financial Reporting Standards and Charities Accounting Standards.

This course is subject to approval for the VWOs-Charities Capability Fund (VCF) training grant. All exempt, registered charities and institutions of a Public Character (IPCs) can apply for VCF funding. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority to VCF-funded applicants.
