Course Description The course provides directors, startup founders and new business owners with an understanding of the practical and legal issues that may arise during the course of the startup journey. The roles and responsibilities of the startup board, related to corporate governance, fundraising and best practices in the establishment and growth of the startup, are highlighted.  
Course Objectives
  1. Examine the different business structures and the typical composition of startup boards.
  2. Explore the stages of a startup journey and the practical and legal issues that may arise.
  3. Understand the roles and responsibilities of startup founders and directors, including their liabilities and legal obligations.
  4. Highlight the evolution of the board from formation through funding to exit, using different business models.
