CGS 2 - In Conversation with ISSB

Climate Governance Singapore
Global sustainability reporting standards continue to evolve. With IFRS S1 and IFRS S2, which are being adopted in Singapore and more than 30 other jurisdictions world-wide, the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) has established a global baseline of high-quality sustainability disclosure for the capital markets. What do these developments in the space of sustainability reporting and disclosure mean for boards and board directors? What is coming over the horizon in particular impacting Singapore and the region we operate in?

Join us for a dialogue featuring members of the ISSB, including the Vice-Chair of ISSB. Engage directly with standard-setters and leading practitioners to gain perspectives on how companies can navigate the next phase of climate and sustainability reporting—not just as a compliance exercise, but as a driver of long-term resilience and board-level accountability.

Key takeaways

  • Understand the strategic intent and expectations behind IFRS S1 and S2.
  • Reflect on the evolving role of the board in overseeing sustainability disclosures, beyond regulatory compliance.
  • Explore how directors can embed sustainability into board governance and long-term value creation.
