Qualified Director Badges

The Qualified Director Badges are part of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) Credentials Framework, recognising director’s skills and competencies in specific areas of governance domains. They complement the broader Accreditation Programme by offering structured recognition of targeted expertise, reinforcing a director’s credibility in particular governance settings.

Domains of recognition
The Badges recognise directors’ knowledge and proficiencies in the following domains:

• Listed Entity (Qualified Listed Entity Director Badge)
• Charities (Qualified Charities Director Badge – coming soon)
• Trade Associations and Chambers (Qualified TAC Director Badge – coming soon)

Pathway to earning a Badge

The Badges are awarded based on completion of SID’s programmes related to each domain.

• Listed Entity Director (LED) programme or Listed Entity Director (LED) Bridging Programme or legacy QLED Assessment
• Governance for Outstanding Organisation Directors (SGOOD) 2.0 Programme
• Leadership Programme for TAC Councils

Validity and maintenance
Badges do not expire but require periodic update training to remain valid, ensuring directors stay current with evolving codes and legislation. Applicants must be active SID members to be eligible to apply for the Badge.
