Specialisation: Director Duties and Practices

Ms Melissa Mak’s practice focuses on commercial litigation and international arbitration, with a specialisation in complex cross-border disputes. She has acted in and advises on banking and trust claims, as well as disputes involving joint ventures, shareholders and directors. She also has an active practice in technology and IT/IP-related matters, and regularly advises online platforms on their intermediary and content-related obligations. Before joining Allen & Gledhill, Ms Mak was a Justices’ Law Clerk and Assistant Registrar with the Supreme Court of Singapore. She graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA (Hons) Law Degree (Double First Class) in 2009, and holds a BCL (Distinction) from the University of Oxford and an LLM from Harvard University. She was called to the Singapore Bar in 2015.
