Key Information 
  • Hybrid, 9 months long programme

  • BRP 2.0 graduates will have fulfilled the eligibility requirements to take the SID accreditation exam (complimentary) to earn the Accredited Director credential (upon passing) and take LED Bridging to meet SGX’s mandatory training requirements for first-time directors
  • 9 modules in total. Allows for individual module completion

  • Participants who complete all 9 LED modules are offered a complimentary attempt for the Accreditation Exam

  • LED is a mandatory SGX training requirement for first-time appointed directors on listed companies even if individual has completed other programmes

  • The Governance for Outstanding Organisation Directors (SGOOD) 2.0 Programme, developed by the Singapore Institute of Directors in collaboration with the NCSS, is designed to empower current and aspiring board members of NPOs. The programme aims to provide a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities while equipping them with the tools and insights to make values-driven, future-ready decisions that support long-term impact.

  • Holders of Accredited Diploma in Directorship are exempted from the Accreditation Exam and can apply for the SID Accredited Director credential through the Qualification Pathway

For whom? 

C-suite with no directorship experience. Should have 10+ years of management experience, demonstrated functional, business unit, enterprise, geographical leadership

First-time appointees on boards of listed companies
Aspiring, new and current directors, and senior management of NPOs.

Directors who aim to sit on global boards. Experienced directors, senior management who work closely with boards and professionals engaged in corporate governance.  Applicants must have a minimum of one year of experience sitting on a board.

Programme Duration

17 modules over 9 months. 

9 e-Learning modules, 8 in-person modules.

All modules compulsory. 

For graduation:

  • 100% completion of e-Learning modules and supplementary reading materials, AND 

  • Minimum of 75% attendance across all in-person learning sessions
9 modules (5 core, 4 electives)
LED 1: 8 hours
LED 2-9: 4 hours each
10 e-Learning Modules (16 hours)
In-Person Session (8 hours)

Completion of both are required to receive the SGOOD Completion Certificate 
6-7 modules of 2-3 days each. 

Complete Modules 1-3 to earn Board Executive Certificate in Directorship

Complete modules 1-6 to earn Accredited Diploma in Directorship

Mentorship
Each attendee will be assigned a mentor (5 months). There are at least 2 group mentorship sessions and at least 3 1 on 1 sessions with the assigned Mentor.

SID Accredited Director Credential
Optional SID Accreditation Exam (complimentary) to achieve Accredited Director credential Participants can opt to take the Accreditation Exam after completing 32 hours of directorship training to earn the SID Accredited Director credential.

Eligibility criteria for CCF Training Grant 
To apply for the CCF Training Grant for the SGOOD 2.0 Programme, applicants must be:

  • Governing board members of charities; or
  • Sub-committee members of charities with at least 6 months of service; or
  • Charity staff with an official designation and at least 6 months of service.
