In August 2018, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Singapore Exchange (SGX) announced changes to the Code of Corporate Governance and SGX Listing Rules which will be effective for annual reports with financial years commencing from 1 January 2019.
These corporate governance changes follow recommendations by the Corporate Governance Council and a public consultation on the recommendations that began in January 2018.
