As Singapore enters its next chapter beyond SG60, how will it navigate a new world order to maintain its position as a trusted global financial hub? In this closed-door dialogue with Jeffrey Siow, Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance, SID members will have the opportunity to get updates on how the Economic Strategy Review is working to strengthen Singapore’s global competitiveness. SID council member Kay Pang will moderate a dialogue with the Minister on the Singapore Budget 2026.

SPEAKERS

Jeffrey Siow
Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance, Republic of Singapore

 Mr Jeffrey Siow is Acting Minister for Transport and Senior Minister of State for Finance. An elected Member of Parliament for the Chua Chu Kang Group Representation Constituency, Mr Siow was previously Second Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Manpower and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, where he led national efforts to grow Singapore’s economy and develop a productive workforce and progressive workplaces to benefit Singaporeans. From 2021 to 2023, he was the first managing director and CEO of Enterprise Singapore responsible for growing and transforming local businesses and industries. He was the Principal Private Secretary to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong from 2017 to 2021. Mr Siow has held key government appointments at the Ministries of Transport, Education and Manpower.

 


Kay Pang
SID Council Member

Ms Kay Pang is an independent director and lawyer with more than 25 years of experience across Asia, Europe and the US. She serves on SGX-listed and nonprofit boards, contributing to audit, risk, nominating, remuneration and finance and investment committees. She is CEO and managing director of Kay Pang Law Practice, and previously held senior leadership roles at Hewlett Packard, Schneider Electric, VMware-Broadcom and Cloudera, practised law with Allen & Overy and Drew & Napier. A barrister-at-law (England and Wales) and advocate and solicitor (Singapore), she is also a senior accredited director with SID, with expertise in governance, technology and sustainability.
